Medical Director
Erin Redmond, RN graduated with her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Nursing in 2012 from William Paterson University where she also competed on the women’s basketball team. She is certified in medical-surgical nursing having worked in the hospital setting for 8 years before transitioning to school nursing. She is the school nurse at Princeton Charter School and also an alumna from the class of 2002. She is currently working towards her school nurse certification at New Jersey City University. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her two children, traveling, exercising, and spending time outdoors.
What do you enjoy most about working at camp?
Seeing the campers having fun participating in all of the different activities with smiles on their faces. Also, Rita’s water ice day!

STEM Instructor
Matt Hayden joined the team in 2015 as our STEM director. Matt is a STEM educator and author from Bucks County, PA. A graduate of Penn State & Gwynedd Mercy Universities, he has degrees in Elementary Ed., Secondary Science, Ed. Administration and is a nationally certified STEM instructor. He has taught in public schools for 25 years and now works with the Bucks County IU as a coordinator of their STEM Programs. He enjoys writing, outdoor activities, and spending time with his family who have all attended and worked with Hawks Game Camps over the past 10 years.

Emily Papp joined out team in 2013. Even as a camper she influenced camp in a positive way leading several free choice programs. In 2016 she became a junior counselor and in 2021 she moved into the role of lead instructor of arts and crafts. Emily is a junior at Rider University and will graduate in Spring, 2025 with a degree in Elementary Education. In addition to camp, Emily is also a community assistant at Rider University and is the official and scorekeeper assignor for Lady Falcons Elite Hoops.

Joaquin Hernandez-Burt joined out team in 2013 as an Instructor's Assistant. He is the longest tenured staff member. In addition to camp, Joaquin is also an assistant baseball coach at The Hun School of Princeton.

Jonathan Papp joined our team in 2013. He graduated from Cabrini University with a bachelor's degree in Marketing and an MBA in Global Business. He currently works at Princeton University in Alumni Engagement.

I enjoy how tight-knit the whole staff is and the pride we take in putting on the best camp.

Aleena Zhang joined the team in 2021
What do you enjoy most about working at camp?
Aleena Zhang is a junior counselor at Hawks Game Camp. She is a sophomore at Princeton High School, and proud Princeton Charter School alumni. She is interested in pursuing a STEM or medical profession in the future, but has a passion for music; and loves sharing it through volunteer services. In her free time, she enjoys photography, baking, biking, painting, hiking, and spending time with her family.

Nicole Regina joined out team in 2022. Nicole teaches first grade at PCS. She has a BA in Family and Child Studies with a concentration in families, children, and school settings, and a K-6 teaching certificate. She also has a MA in Special Education. Before joining PCS, Ms. Regina was a kindergarten special education teacher for four years and has been teaching for 7 years. She also tutors on the side, supporting students individual learning needs.
What do you enjoy most about working at camp?
I enjoy being a part of such a welcoming community that builds strong character and morals in our campers. I love having fun with campers and other counselors in an exciting environment filled with fun games and activities.

What do you enjoy most about working at camp?
It is a pleasure to work at Hawks Game Camp because it is well-organized and filled with fun sports, games, crafts and other activities. It runs like a well-oiled machine. Hawks Game Camp is like no other!

Monica Gonzalez joined our team in 2020. Monica works as a Paraprofessional in Elementary School and assists in the After School Program. She received her Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management and Tourism from Universidad Regiomontana in Monterrey, Mexico. Although she studied another subject, Monica found her way into the field of Education 6 years ago and has enjoyed every second of it. She values the creativity and uniqueness of every child and uses it to help them succeed in school. Monica has made great memories at PCS, including the Hawks Summer Camp, and hopes to continue making many more.
What do you enjoy most about working at camp?
Ms. Gonzalez enjoys playing and spending quality time with the kids.
STEM/Lead Instructor
Brian Ciuffreda joined our team in 2023. Brian has been known since 2003 for giving his students countless “opportunities” in science at PCS. His students are continually challenged to think at a high level and to make sure they understand how and why things are related. Mr. Ciuffreda also directs the PCS Jazz Ensemble, is the advisor for the school’s Operation Smile club, and is the school coordinator for the President’s Volunteer Service Awards. He coaches the PCS Girls Basketball Team and has captained a Special Olympics Polar Plunge team since 2016.
What do you enjoy most about working at camp?
Every time I see a certain young student (who I won’t teach for a few years) in the hall or lunchroom, she reminds me of how badly she destroyed me at Knock Hockey at camp. Developing those types of relationships is priceless.
